Course Description

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Master the use of the DO-254 standard and the associated documents.
- Demonstrate compliance with the objectives of DO-254.
- Implement process improvement while remaining compliant with DO-254.
- Know the evolutions and current status of DO-254 application.
Course Program
- Context and principles: introduction; SEH and CEH definitions; system principles and aspects.
- Planning process: certification document; validation and verification plan; configuration-management / change-management plan; quality-assurance plan; project standards.
- Objectives and activities: design process; requirements writing; architecture, coding and implementation.
- Validation and verification: verification means; robustness and other tests; analyses and reviews; independence required for DAL A and B; configuration data management.
- Categories and tools; change-management process; problem classification.
- Quality assurance: principles and responsibilities.
- Certification aspects: expected data and certification liaison.
- Additional considerations: COTS ICs and IP; service experience.
Pedagogical Means
A digital training manual is provided to each participant. The session’s teaching plan outlines the methods used.
Monitoring of Participants
Entry questionnaire, mid-course quiz, final questionnaire, and a satisfaction survey.
